Customizing your workspace

Customization has always been at the core of Cortex, and with the plugin framework users can customize the appearance of their workspaces.

Admins can make changes to the workspace from Appearance settings.

customization 1

Under the Workspace tab, you can add your company’s logo and see what it’ll look like before you save it in the preview.

tip

Cortex recommends a minimum file size of 200px x 80px to display the logo in the expanded navigation and 80px x 80px for collapsed navigation.

Once you upload and save your logo, it will appear in place of the Cortex logo. You can remove the logo or upload a new one from this page as well.

You can embed a global or entity plugin as a tab on various pages on the Sidebar plugins and Dev homepage plugins pages.

tip

Plugins must have a global context to appear in the main nav or on the dev homepage.

If you add a plugin to Entity overview tabs or Entity side nav, the plugin will appear on entity details pages. You can add your plugin as a tab to the entity’s overview page — along with Overview, Operations, and Code and Security — to display the plugin information when you first navigate to an entity.

When you add to Entity side nav, the plugin will appear independently in the side navigation bar in addition to being nested under the Plugins tab in the side nav.

You also have the ability to reorder and delete added tabs from the Appearance page.
