Onboarding management

The Onboarding management tool is designed to show admins who from their organization has onboarded to Cortex and who hasn’t.

When you first open Onboarding management, you’ll see a list of teams and the number of team members who have onboarded. The tool also includes a progress bar so you can see the overall percentage of users that have been onboarded.

onboarding 1

Users will have one of four different statuses on this page:

  • New user: Has not onboarded.
  • Not connected: Does not have Slack mapped.
  • Notified: Has been sent a Slack message for onboarding.
  • Onboarded: Has completed onboarding.

You can message team members who haven’t onboarded directly from this page, as long as Slack is mapped to their account. Select Message user next to a user’s status to send a message.

onboarding 2

If multiple members of the same team have not completed onboarding, you can use Message team to send a Slack reminder to all who have not completed the process.

onboarding 3

If a user’s name is available in Cortex, it will appear under Message details.

You can Include a custom message in the notification. Anything you enter in this field will be included after the first template line.

If Slack is not mapped, you won't be able to message users from this page, even if they have onboarded.

If a user is Not connected, admins can map a Slack workspace to their account from Slack Identity mappings in settings.

From this page, admins can select a mapping from the dropdown menu for each user, as well as see and edit mapped users.
