Summary​

Instana is a tool used for monitoring and performance management. You can use Instana to drive insights into values such as:

  • Service Discovery

Setup​

In order to connect Cortex to your Instana instance, you’ll need to create a Instana API Token, and add it under Settings → Instana.

caution

If you do not see the settings page you're looking for, you likely don't have the proper permissions and need to contact your admin.

Registration​

Discovery​

Cortex automatically syncs from Instana APM on a cron interval. These discovered services can be found in the Service Import flow.
