# Building a custom DRIVE dashboard

After your [data is in Cortex](/solutions/drive-framework/setting-up-custom-data-for-drive.md) and your DRIVE [Scorecard is live](/solutions/drive-framework/drive-scorecard-rules.md), you're ready to build your custom DRIVE dashboard. Use [Eng Intelligence](/improve/eng-intelligence.md) to visualize your DRIVE metrics for leadership reviews and trend tracking.

Before creating a dashboard, configure and save each metric as a module in the Data Explorer. A module is a saved view of a metric with your chosen filters, time range, and segmentation.

**To create a module**:

1. From the main sidebar, expand **Eng Intelligence**, then select **Data Explorer**.
2. Select a metric, apply any filters or groupings, then click **Save As** in the upper-right corner.

**Once your modules are saved, build the dashboard**:

1. From the main sidebar, expand **Eng Intelligence**, then select **Dashboards**.
2. In the upper-right corner, click **Create Dashboard**.
3. In the **Create dashboard** side panel, enter a name for the dashboard, e.g. *DRIVE OpEx Review*, then click **Create dashboard**.
4. Select a module to add to the dashboard.
5. To add additional modules to the dashboard, click **Add module** in the upper-right corner.

### Tabular view

Tabular view lets you add multiple DRIVE metrics as columns and compare them side by side across teams or services, useful for scanning the full picture before an OpEx review.

1. From the main sidebar, expand **Eng Intelligence**, then select **Data Explorer**.
2. In the right pane, under **Visual type**, select the **Table** tab.
3. Click **Add column** and select a metric.
4. From the **Group by** drop-down menu, select the dimension to group the metric by: team, domain, entity owner, etc.
5. Click **Save As** to save the table as a module and add it to your DRIVE dashboard.
