Dev onboarding Workflows

Use Cortex Workflows to automate and standardize developer onboarding by creating a multi-step process that handles all necessary tasks for new engineers. Onboarding Workflows reduce manual effort, eliminate inconsistencies, and accelerate time-to-productivity for new team members.

Examples of actions you can take in onboarding Workflows include:

• Collect new hire information via a User Input block

• Automate account and access provisioning by triggering HTTP requests to create GitHub organization invitations, IAM users in AWS, PagerDuty users, and more

  • These actions can use the information collected via a User input block. For example, if a user enters their GitHub username, the HTTP request can create the organization invitation.

• Send a welcome message to the new developer via Slack or Microsoft Teams when onboarding is complete
